The Warren J. Plaut Charitable Trust

Western Mass. Jobs with Justice is a core program of the the Warren J. Plaut Charitable Trust. Warren Plaut (1951-1987) was a dynamic Western Mass. labor leader who died tragically in a camping accident. He had just successfully negotiated Graphic Communications International Union Local 48B's contract with global giant Dennison National. His internal organizing of the members in Holyoke and Springfield convinced the company to settle without a strike.

Donations to the WJPCT are tax-deductible and are used by its three funds:

The Jobs with Justice Fund’s mission is to improve working people’s standard of living, fight for job security, and protect workers’ right to organize.
The Union Community Fund makes grants to strengthen working families in areas such as jobs, housing, education, and hardship and disaster.
The Warren Plaut Memorial Fund remembers Warren with occasional special purpose grants.
